4 Days Hands on Training 

​

Location: Inkd SMP studio, 19A Chapel St Windsor 

​Times are 830am-430pm daily. ​​​

​

Small group training with a focus on building your hands on skills and correct techniques - Learn how to get world class SMP results from the very start. Two highly experienced trainers to assist you and ensure you get essential one-on-one time.

​

One of the most important skills to master as an SMP artist is how to manoeuvre through different skin types. During training you'll work on multiple live models with varying skin types and hair loss levels to give you a variety of hands on experience. The models' first sessions are completed by students, their following sessions are done by an Inkd SMP artist, which you may shadow us to observe the result or receive feedback and photos of their healed results.

Models : All models are provided by Inkd SMP. Photo and video content for your portfolio will be taken during the sessions!

If you have a friend or family member who's keen to receive a treatment, you're more than welcome to bring them along as your model - please advise us beforehand.

Course Overview 

All Melbourne training dates are 3 days back-to-back in a small group, plus an optional 4th solo mentoring and practice day at a flexible later date. Details below.

​

Day 1: Overview of theory, equipment, practice machine control, insertion depths, spacing.

• Hairline styles, measurement and symmetry, practice drawing and execution, colour matching and ink mixing. Practice on various mediums. 

 

Day 2: Live client demonstration by AJ + Student density models. 

• Work on live long hair models, complete their first sessions

 

Day 3: Guided student’s bald models first sessions start to finish. 

• Work on live hairline models 

• Course completion, receive Inkd SMP Certificate of Completion

 

Day 4:  Optional solo training day with AJ  - flexible dates and 3 options to choose from.​

1. Bring your first client or a client of your choice into studio for us to oversee their full treatment from sessions 1-3. We will guide you as needed on this solo basis! Our studio use for that client is at no additional cost to you. Subject to studio availability. Valid for 12 months post course. 

2. For interstate/international students we can arrange your 4th day following your course completion. A model will be provided for you. 

3. Return for shadowing to observe your training models' 2nd sessions and correct application. Receive feedback on your work and where/how to improve. Get additional technique help this day and practice tasks if needed. 

4. This solo session may also be utilised at a later date for AJ to observe a session at your own studio for any client of your choice. Get help in your own environment and be guided through the session and given points for improvement after you've gained some experience. This option is for Melbourne based students only - must be within 20km radius of Inkd SMP. Subject to AJ's availability. Valid for 12 months post course.

Inkd SMP Certificate of Achievement 

Following completion of your course, our team will be available for ongoing mentoring and skills assistance. Shadowing sessions may be booked for 12 months post course completion.

​

Potential Earnings as an SMP Artist ​

This is one of the very few educational investments that has the potential to cover it's cost back very fast - within the first few clients!

​

The average Scalp Micropigmentation treatments will run from $1500-3000+ or $200+ per hour, however pricing is up to the artist!

 

As a new artist taking only ONE new client a week @ $2000 each, that's a possibility to earn $104 000 per year, with no capped potential!

A $1000 deposit will be required to secure your space in the course. Final payment is due 3 weeks prior to course commencement. Logins for online theory will also be assigned 3 weeks prior to course commencement. Early payments and online study release accepted with "deposit + online" booking option. Remaining balances will be paid via invoice.

Prerequisites: Infection control certification requirements vary from state to state. It is highly recommended to complete either SHBBINF001 or HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration certifications before working with clients in your state. Students are responsible for ensuring their Infection Control requirements for their own home/work state.

Prior to starting training, interested students are welcome to visit us in studio to shadow us, chat to clients about their experience and observe a day in the life of a booked and busy SMP studio! Melbourne only.
